Allopathic Medicines most of the times causes more problems than curing them, so quitting the use of such medicines and switching to natural therapies leads to a more healthy life.

Diabetes Medicine and it's Effects

1. Metformin

Metformin is the first choice of drug to control diabetes. It acts adversely on the liver. Work of the liver is to maintain the natural chemical combination of our body , thus keeping us healthy. Metformin may help to control the blood glucose level, but it adversely effects on liver which imbalances the chemical combinations of our body. In Ayurveda words, liver controls the Ras Dhatu of our body and if it gets imbalanced, it imbalances the other six Dhatus namely Rakt, Mass, Medh, Asti, Majja, Shukr as all these Dhatus are interdependent. And this chemical imbalance leads to various health problems.

2. Sulfonylureas

Glimepiride, Glipizide are Sulfonylureas drugs which act on the Pancreas to produce more insulin unnaturally. Blood sugar increases not due to less amount of insulin but due to insulin resistance. So instead of increasing insulin in the body we should focus on decreasing insulin resistance. Our body requires very little amount of insulin and increasing insulin over a required amount causes more insulin resistance, so now the body requires more amount of insulin. This causes pancreas to work more to a point where it gets damaged and cannot produce insulin anymore. So you have to take insulin injections and move from type 2 diabetes to type 1 diabetes.

3. Pioglitazone

Pioglitazone is the first drug invented to control diabetes. This drug was invented in 1998. This drug acts on growth hormone of our body. Growth hormone accelerates the growth of body, hence making it use more sugar present in blood, which in turn controls sugar level of the body. As per medical science, any unnatural excess growth leads to cancer. So, to control diabetes now you may have to face cancer in future. After knowing the side effects of this drug, it is banned in countries like USA and Europe. In India, it was banned too in 2013 for about 2 months, but the ban was revoked after force of pharmaceutical companies. Now, about 30 lakh people use this drug and hence have a higher risk of getting bladder cancer and you may be one of them.
